Foundation Schedule of Events

Residency Calendar

Spring Residency: Dec. 1:  Meeting  to review applications for spring residency. Decision and announcement by December 15. Residency runs March 1 - May 30th 

Summer Residency: March 1: Meet to review applications for summer residency. Decision and announcement by March 15th. Residency runs June 1st to Aug. 30th

Fall Residency: May 1st: Meet to review applications for fall residency. Decision and announcement by May 15th. Residency runs July 1st to October 31st.  

Board Meetings

The Foundation Board meets every second Thursday of the month at 5:00 PM at the Norman Borlaug Childhood Farm.

Previous Special Events

Day At The Farm: August 2nd and 3rd: High School and College Students from around Iowa toured the Borlaug Childhood Farm.

Open House: October 20th: Borlaug Childhood Farm was open to the public 1:00 - 4:00 PM

Work Day on the Farm: August 24th: Volunteer board members assisted with site yard cleanup. 

Arbor Day Event: April.  Dr. Borlaug attended tree planting ceremony at the farm open to the public.
